Thoughtful was started out of frustration. Frustration that stemmed from hearing people say "It shouldn't be this hard" over and over and over again.
Up until early 2005, Mark Krieger, a founding partner of Thoughtful had made his career by helping companies execute profitable and successful projects and programs. Regardless of what industry he was working in, or what kind of project he was working on at the time, it was clear to him that companies didn't get the "big-picture" when it came to delivery, operations, and people management.
Employees were frustrated with not having the right tools to do their jobs. Management was frustrated that they didn't have the information they needed to make great decisions. Most of the time, no one knew what they were supposed to be doing, when they were supposed to do it, and how it was going to get done.
All of this nonsense had to stop. So, together with a few like-minded individuals, Mark formed Thoughtful with the intent to show companies how important happy people, great process, and innovative toolsets (all working together) are to the success of their businesses.
